Drawing Notebook
Cover Design
I created a series of two drawing books, each featuring my original handmade artworks as the cover design. I focused on using my original illustrations and paintings to give each cover a personal touch, capturing the essence of what a drawing book should feel like authentic, aspirational, and inviting. The design approach balances intricate hand-drawn details with an organic, tactile quality that sparks creativity in its users.

The first book features a detailed pen-and-ink drawing of a one-horned rhino. Coming from Assam, I chose the rhino as a symbol of strength, resilience, and the rich natural heritage of my home state. The intricate line work reflects patience and attention to detail qualities that I hope will inspire artists and students every time they pick up the book.

The second book showcases a watercolour painting of a mother and baby turtle swimming together. The gentle, flowing brushstrokes evoke a sense of calm and nurturing, encouraging users to connect with their imagination. The handmade watercolour effect reinforces the feeling of artistic freedom, making the cover itself a source of inspiration for the drawings that will fill its pages.
